| I am thinking of living full time on Malcolm Island, and I'm wondering what options I might have if some horrible accident befell one of my pets after the last ferry. Is there anyone in Sointula willing to provide emergency veterinary services? Anyone willing to shuttle pets to Port Hardy in the dark and wind and pouring rain? What do folks do? Just wait and hope? I'm asking because I have an elderly pet who, if something can go wrong, it will happen to him even though he stays inside and receives the best care possible. I know people on the island love their pets. Surely I can't be the only one with this problem? |
